Longdo Map is a mapping service that provides comprehensive GIS APIs including geocoding, routing, and interactive map rendering for Thailand and the world. The REST API base URL is https://api.longdo.com and all requests require an API key passed as a query parameter.

How do I authenticate with the Longdo Map API?

The Longdo Map REST API requires an API key to be passed as a query parameter named 'key' in requests.

1. Get your credentials

  1. Navigate to the Longdo API Console at https://api.longdo.com/console or visit https://map.longdo.com and sign in (or register if you do not have an account). 2. Once logged in, locate the 'My Longdo Map' or 'Longdo Map API' section. 3. Input your website URL (for JavaScript API) or package name (for mobile SDKs) into the required field (often labeled 'Your site host name'). 4. Click 'Generate key' to create your unique 32-character API key. 5. Copy the generated key from the table to use in your API requests.

2. Add them to .dlt/secrets.toml

How do I set up and run the pipeline?

Set up a virtual environment and install dlt:

1. Install the dlt AI harness:

3. Start LLM-assisted coding:

Use /find-source to load data from the Longdo Map API into DuckDB.

The rest-api-pipeline toolkit takes over from here — it reads relevant API documentation, presents you with options for which endpoints to load, and follows a structured workflow to scaffold, debug, and validate the pipeline step by step.

4. Run the pipeline:

This opens the Pipeline Dashboard where you can verify pipeline state, load metrics, schema (tables, columns, types), and query the loaded data directly.


Python pipeline example

This example loads /map/services/address and /RouteService/json/route/guide from the Longdo Map API into DuckDB. It mirrors the endpoint and data selector configuration from the table above:

To add more endpoints, append entries from the resource table to the "resources" list using the same name, path, and data_selector pattern.


How do I query the loaded data?

Once the pipeline runs, dlt creates one table per resource. You can query with Python or SQL.

Python (pandas DataFrame):
