Credits represent active platform workload execution (ingestion, transformations, and checks). You pay for executed work, not idle infrastructure.
After your included credits each month, additional usage is billed in volume tiers — every credit in a tier gets that tier's per-credit price:
Annual commitments add a further 5% off the per-credit rate. Included credits don’t roll over month-to-month, but purchased bundle credits do. Pipelines do not pause automatically today — at launch your admin team is alerted at 80% and 100% of included credits so you can buy a top-up bundle. Automatic balance-based pausing and grace buffers arrive in Q3 2026.
Every paid dltHub subscription — Pro, Scale, and Enterprise — includes a license to use the source-available capabilities: the AI workbench, change data capture (CDC), Apache Iceberg support, and in-pipeline transformations. The code is visible to subscribers and licensed for production use under your subscription; the OSS dlt library remains Apache 2.0.
Annual commitment locks the per-credit rate for 12 months and adds an additional 5% off any monthly volume tier. You pay upfront; unused credits roll within the term and expire at renewal. Mid-cycle top-up bundles are charged at the same volume rate without changing the commitment.
Pro subscribers can buy additional credit bundles any time during the month. Bundles use the same volume-discount curve as overage and apply to the Pro tier only — Scale and Enterprise credits are negotiated as part of the contract.
Purchased bundle credits roll over month-to-month. During Phase I, top-ups are issued by invoice — contact your account team or sales@dlthub.com to purchase. Self-serve checkout and auto top-up arrive in Q3 2026.
