Credly is a digital credential and Open Badge platform that provides a REST API for issuing organizations to manage badge templates, issue and revoke credentials, and retrieve organization or employee data. What data can I load from Credly?
Here are some of the endpoints you can load from Credly:

How do I authenticate with the Credly API?
The API supports Basic Authentication, where the organization's authorization_token is used as the username with a blank password (encoded as 'token:' in Base64 for the Authorization header). OAuth 2.0 is also supported, requiring an Authorization header with a Bearer token.
1. Get your credentials
To obtain credentials for the Credly REST API, log in to your organization's dashboard as an administrator. Navigate to the Developers section—often labeled as Developers, Settings > API Keys, or Developers > Authorization Tokens. From here, you can generate or retrieve an authorization token. Note that these tokens typically expire every 180 days and must be manually rotated, or you may alternatively configure an OAuth 2.0 application for long-lived, secure access.
2. Add them to .dlt/secrets.toml

How do I set up and run the pipeline?
Set up a virtual environment and install dlt:

1. Install the dlt AI harness:

3. Start LLM-assisted coding:
Use /find-source to load data from the Credly API into DuckDB.
The rest-api-pipeline toolkit takes over from here — it reads relevant API documentation, presents you with options for which endpoints to load, and follows a structured workflow to scaffold, debug, and validate the pipeline step by step.
4. Run the pipeline:
uv run python credly_pipeline.py
If everything is configured correctly, you'll see output like this:

Inspect your pipeline and data:

This opens the Pipeline Dashboard where you can verify pipeline state, load metrics, schema (tables, columns, types), and query the loaded data directly.
Python pipeline example
This example loads /v1/organizations/{organization_id}/badges and /v1/organizations/{organization_id}/employee_external_badges from the Credly API into DuckDB. It mirrors the endpoint and data selector configuration from the table above:

To add more endpoints, append entries from the resource table to the "resources" list using the same name, path, and data_selector pattern.
How do I query the loaded data?
Once the pipeline runs, dlt creates one table per resource. You can query with Python or SQL.
Python (pandas DataFrame):
