How do I authenticate with the Whmcs API?
WHMCS API requests are authenticated by passing an 'identifier' and 'secret' as POST request parameters. These credentials replace the older method of using admin usernames and passwords.
1. Get your credentials
- Log in to the WHMCS Admin area. 2. Navigate to Configuration > System Settings > Manage API Credentials. 3. First, navigate to the API Roles tab to ensure you have an API role with the necessary permissions. If not, click Create API Role, define the role, and save it. 4. Switch to the API Credentials tab. 5. Click Generate New API Credential. 6. Select the admin user to be authenticated, provide an optional description, and assign the created API role(s). 7. Click Generate. 8. Copy the generated API identifier and secret immediately, as the secret will not be displayed again.

How do I load only new Whmcs records?
Whmcs exposes limitstart on includes/api.php?action=GetClients, so dlt can request only the records that changed since the last run. Set it as the cursor_path and dlt tracks the high-water mark for you between runs.
