How do I authenticate with the Cpanel API?

Authentication is performed by sending an HTTP header named Authorization. The header value follows the format 'cpanel username:token' for cPanel API calls or 'whm username:token' for WHM API calls.

1. Get your credentials

To obtain API credentials for cPanel, log in to your cPanel interface and navigate to 'Home' > 'Security' > 'Manage API Tokens'. Click 'Create' (or 'Generate Token'), provide a unique name for the token, configure optional expiration settings, and click 'Create'. Copy the generated API token immediately, as it cannot be viewed again once you navigate away from the page. You will also need your cPanel account username.

2. Add them to .dlt/secrets.toml

How do I load only new Cpanel records?

Cpanel exposes api.chunk.start on listaccts?api.version=1&api.chunk.enable=1, so dlt can request only the records that changed since the last run. Set it as the cursor_path and dlt tracks the high-water mark for you between runs.
