How do I authenticate with the Cornerstone API?
Cornerstone uses OAuth 2.0 client-credentials grant flow. Obtain an access token by POSTing to the /services/api/oauth2/token endpoint with client_id, client_secret, grant_type='client_credentials', and scope; then include the 'access_token' in the Authorization header as 'Bearer '.
1. Get your credentials
- Log in to your Cornerstone portal with administrator privileges.
- Navigate to Admin > Tools > Edge > API Management.
- Select the Manage OAuth 2.0 applications tab.
- Click Register New Application.
- Provide a name for your application and configure the required settings (such as access token validity period).
- Click Register Application. The system will display your Client ID and Client Secret. 7. Important: Copy and save the Client Secret immediately, as it will only be displayed once. If lost, you must regenerate it.

How do I load only new Cornerstone records?
Cornerstone exposes nextPageToken on services/api/x/users/v2/employees, so dlt can request only the records that changed since the last run. Set it as the cursor_path and dlt tracks the high-water mark for you between runs.
