Recently, we spoke with Untitled Data Company, one of our pilot agencies in our consulting partnership program. We chatted about their experience in our so far and the value they are receiving from being our first "silver" badge partner.

This is a team that knew me (one of our co-founders) back in his freelancing days. They stepped in early on to help some of our first customers when dltHub was still finding its footing.

Their success story shows how a partner can leverage dlt to solve tough integration challenges that more rigid tools can’t handle. Below is a short interview with one of their senior data engineers, highlighting how DLT Hub and its partner network helped them deliver more value, reduce overhead, and keep clients happy.

"Untitled Data Company" is the actual name of our partner, not an example name.

Q1: You’ve been working with dlt team since before dltHub’s official partnerships launch. Did that connection influence your decision to partner with us?

Untitled Data Company: Definitely. Before, dlt, Adrian already was trying to build a professional data engineering group that works together to get rid of the repetitive, low-level tasks so we can focus on delivering real insights. When dltHub officially kicked off, and we had a chance to help out on early projects, it proved that dlt wasn’t just another tool, it was a flexible, developer-focused solution to our own problems, and we knew it’s only a matter of time before the community will follow.

Q2: What kind of client challenges did you tackle using dlt, and how does dlt+ come into play?

Untitled Data Company: A few of our clients had tried another well-known integration solution but struggled with edge cases, implementation, and in general the overall costs didn’t make sense to them. Together with the client, we inspired dltHub to build a generic REST API source that was way more flexible, stable, and easier to maintain than the competitor’s solutions.

From this experience, we know that dltHub is great at building developer tools. Therefore, we are looking forward to dlt+ because it is a promising step to increase efficiency and solve more problems in the space effectively.

Q3: How did your relationship with dltHub evolve beyond one-off projects?

Untitled Data Company: We got recognized for delivering on tricky use cases. Soon, we were enhancing the REST API wrappers themselves, showcasing demos, and even representing the product at events like Data Talks Club. This was a natural way to give back to the dlt community. Thanks to the work on the REST API, we became a reference partner. It wasn’t just a one-and-done deal—it grew into a strategic collaboration that positioned us as experts in implementing dlt-based solutions. On the other hand, direct communication with dlthub was key to providing more value for our clients.

Q4: dltHub talks about an “everybody wins” model. How does that actually help a data engineering consultancy?

Untitled Data Company: In our case, we are a growing consultancy, if we are already fully booked and we can’t take on more clients, we can refer them to other partners and still earn referral fees. If another partner signs a deal and needs our skills, we can jump in and split the revenue. We have seen it in action, and it works. It lets us focus on what we are good at, offload what we cannot handle, and still capture value and make our clients happy. Everyone: us, other partners, the client, and dltHub benefits.

Q5: What are your favorite goodies of the Silver tier?

Untitled Data Company: We appreciate the early access to new developer tooling that is being created by dltHub. This gives us a competitive edge since we are the first ones to know and we can influence the design of the tool which increases our expertise. Also, we like the direct contact to the solutions engineering team. We’re also looking forward to co-marketing opportunities and the increased visibility on the dltHub website, which has turned into a significant reference for data engineers.

Q5: Any advice for data engineers or consultancies considering a partnership with dltHub?

Untitled Data Company: If you want a tool that reduces overhead and lets you deliver better solutions faster, dlt is your friend. The partnership network only amplifies that effect: more projects, more resources, and a safety net if you need to shift workloads around. For us, it has been a straightforward way to scale both our reach and our capabilities.
